Empowering Teens to Make Smart Choices
Empowering Teens to Make Smart Choices
Know the Truth ND is the teen substance abuse prevention division of North Dakota Adult & Teen Challenge. Our mission is to educate students, parents, and educators about the realities and risks of substance use, while providing hope and resources to those seeking help.
Our team is made up of individuals who have personally experienced the challenges of addiction and have found freedom through recovery. By sharing our stories, we aim to inspire positive choices and empower young people to live healthy, substance‑free lives.
We provide flexible substance abuse prevention programs designed to fit virtually any setting, including classrooms, community groups, and large assemblies.
Our presentations are adaptable to any age group or grade level and can range from 40 to 90 minutes in length. For smaller or more focused discussions, we offer small group and focus group sessions lasting 15 to 40 minutes.
Each presentation is led by a primary presenter and discussion leader, supported by two to five additional speakers, depending on the session length. We collaborate closely with educators to tailor presentation logistics and content to meet the specific needs of each class or school. Educators may also select between our standard program or a topic‑specific presentation that addresses particular areas of interest or concern.
Know the Truth ND exists to provide a safe and supportive space where young people can be heard, find hope, and access help. Through authentic stories, education, and connection, we empower students to make informed choices, overcome challenges, and become a positive influence in their communities.
Help empower youth — donate today and support our mission to prevent youth substance use.
